STORY: Yorkshire bakery writes “Corbyn" and “For The Many” on loaves

Haxby Bakehouse in York has left customers in no doubt as to who it’s supporting in the upcoming election, by imprinting its signature boules with slogans including “F*ck Boris”, “For The Many, “Tories Out” and “Corbyn”.

It has even dispatched a selection of them to Jeremy Corbyn himself, and says it is “proud to wave the red flag”.

Elsewhere, East London’s Pavilion Bakery is stamping “every cup and every bag” with ‘Vote Labour’ in the run-up to 12 December.

The café-bakery business has three London sites in two Labour constituencies — Broadway Market in Hackney South and Shoreditch and Columbia Road and Victoria Park in Bethnal Green and Bow.

Owner Rob Green, a Labour Party member and former social worker, had been selling official ‘I’m with Corbyn’ mugs at its Columbia Road shop.
