STORY: Love Brownies opens Richmond store

Love Brownies, the award-winning brownie business, has opened its 20th shop, which is located in London's Richmond neighbourhood.

The Richmond branch, launched by husband-and-wife team Joanna and Ken Shum, is offering customers a range of handmade treats including freshly baked brownies, milkshakes, and coffee.

Since its launch in 2009, the Love Brownies business has established a string of branches across the country, and scooped the Great British Food Award in 2019.

Visitors to the new Love Brownies cafe, which is based next to Richmond station at 26 The Quadrant, Richmond TW9 1DL, are able to enjoy a wide-ranging menu, which includes gluten-free and vegan options.

“As immigrants from Hong Kong, my husband and I have been absolutely fascinated by UK culture and the diversity of the country’s hospitality industry," says Joanna.

"After a lengthy search we fell in love with the Love Brownies brand and felt it was a fantastic opportunity share our passion for food with the local community.

"We want this business to be much more than a café, it will serve as a community hub for friends, families to meet, make friends and enjoy a freshly made food.”

The café is using 100% sustainable packaging, including biodegradable cups and paper straws. Its coffee selection includes beans sourced from Columbia, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Nicaragua.
