Ginsters’ latest flavour innovation is set to get mouths watering this summer with a brand-new taste sensation.

The Limited Edition Creamy Tomato, Chicken & Mozzarella Slice (170g) RRP £1.95, is packed full of tender 100% British chicken cooked in a creamy sauce with tomatoes, mozzarella and basil pesto.  Encased in golden baked puff pastry with a tomato and basil crumb topping, this delicious new slice is sure to entice even more lunchtime shoppers into the category.

The new Limited Edition Creamy Tomato, Chicken & Mozzarella Slice is part of Ginsters’ ongoing strategy of introducing fresh new seasonal slice flavours that bring excitement to the category and offer variety to the lunch occasion.  The launch of the new Limited Edition Creamy Tomato, Chicken & Mozzarella Slice comes hot on the heels of January’s highly successful launch of Limited-Edition Cauliflower Cheese Slice and reintroduction of Ginsters’ Festive Slice, which added £0.5m to the range during the festive period, contributing to Ginsters’ highest ever December market share, with 52% of sales being incremental to the category.

With 20% more in-home lunch occasions than there were pre-pandemic, Ginsters are committed to bringing ongoing seasonal change and excitement to the category and shoppers’ lunchtimes through rotational Limited Editions.  These Limited Editions have already delivered over 0.6m new shoppers and 47% incremental sales growth.

Like all of the Ginsters range, the Limited-Edition Creamy Chicken, Tomato & Mozzarella Slice includes no artificial colours, preservatives, or flavours, allowing the top-notch ingredients and quality to shine through. This dedication to giving consumers convenient food with quality ingredients is being further highlighted by Ginsters with their current ‘Sow Your Own Slice’ campaign, taking consumers on a field to fork journey by giving them the chance to visit Ginsters’ main vegetable suppliers, Hay Farm, in Cornwall, and be part of the planting process.

Sam Mitchell, Ginsters Managing Director, commented: “The latest launch in our Limited Edition Slice range is designed to bring excitement, variety and innovation to the category and introduce new shoppers to Ginsters slices as they browse for more tempting, great value lunch options.  We are proud that our innovation strategy has continued to grow our category and we hope that the mouth-watering new Creamy Chicken, Tomato & Mozzarella Slice will bring even more shoppers in.  Ginsters is shorthand for quality and excitement, and we have plenty more in the pipeline for 2023 and beyond.”
