DAWN FOODS AND MONO PARTNER FOR BAKERY MASTERCLASS EVENT

More than 60 bakers, including Soraya Akbari, one of Dawn’s new Student Bakery Ambassadors, recently joined Dawn Foods and Mono Equipment over two days for a Bakery Masterclass held at MONO’s Swansea headquarters.

The joint event is part of a long-standing relationship with the two companies and the second masterclass where bakers can see Dawn’s products in action using MONO’s latest pieces of equipment.

Dawn’s bakery and sales team – Robin Loud, Rob Penn and Steve McCann - along with Christian Trubey from MONO took the bakers through a range of product demonstrations. These included making cookie pucks with candied blueberry inclusions, glazing fruit tarts, to baking loaf cakes made from Dawn’s improved creme cake bases in MONO’s new Eco Connect Static Rack Oven.

Central to the sessions was a donut masterclass showing delegates the whole production cycle, with hints and tips along the way, from producing ball donuts to frying as well as new ideas for decorating.

Dawn used its long-life Vegan Donut Mix to create ball and puddle donuts in a Vitella BDM Bun Divider, while MONO gave advice on how to use their range of fryers to produce the best results.

Using a Tabletop Glazer, the donuts were finally decorated. The team used Dawn’s Strawberry Souplesse coating, along with other creative donut decorating ideas using additional flavours from the Souplesse range, as well as Dawn Fillings: Vanilla Crème, and on-trend Delicream Bueno and Coconut plus Dobla Chocolate Decorations to finish.
