STORY: Premier Foods reveals 2020 plans

Bakery firm Premier Foods has revealed details of its NPD plans for 2019/20. It says a number of new products which are expected to hit supermarket shelves in the next 12 months.

The company is launching a new range of Mr Kipling cakes, hot off the back of the brand’s 2017 relaunch, which included updated designs, new logos, television campaigns and new products including unicorn and flamingo slices.

There will be a new selection of Mr Kipling 'signature' cakes - including chocolate, caramel and pecan slices, as well as After Dinner Mint Fancies - a variant of the popular French Fancies range.

In addition, the company is releasing some new additions to its Cadbury cakes lines, including new Cadbury cake slices, Oreo cupcakes and Freddo cupcakes.

These details were released as part of Premier Foods' latest results announcement, where it also revealed plans for a brand new Plantastic range of sweet and savoury snacks. The new products will be made from plant-based ingredients and are being launched to target the ongoing vegan trend.
