STORY: National Bakery Awards winners announced!

They have been weighed, measured and proved - and now all the Regional Winners and The National Bakery of the Year have been announced!

But just in case you haven't already heard them shouting it from the rafters, Lovingly Artisan from Kendal are now officially the National Bakery of the Year. In reaction to winning, Aiden Monks and Catherine Connor described themselves as "Over the moon, totally elated and utterly blown away."

And they weren't alone in their excitement - on what was an amazing night for the industry, bakers gathered in force at London's BAFTA House in London for the National Bakery Awards, and frankly did what bakers do best - support one another, cheer one another on, work as a single, fantastic team.

There were cheers, there were tears and there were plenty of smiles.

But as was pointed out by many throughout the evening, it was a hugely happy night for all involved, as everyone in the room was already a winner.

From the county winners, television star Mark Durden-Smith revealed  the three Student Baker of The Year award winners, the 14 Regional Winners, and a hugely popular Outstanding Contribution Award winner, all of whom are listed below.

Thank you to all of our sponsors, and everyone who made the effort to attend and make this such a truly fantastic evening. You are all amazing.
