STORY: Brook donates £11k to charity

Throughout Brook Food Processing Equipment’s Silver Anniversary year, the company has been fundraising for a new charity each month. July saw the Williton based company’s donations soar to over £11k.

Raising £1,475 for July, Ann Wells was delighted to present a cheque to The Steam Coast Trail on behalf of Brook Food Processing Equipment. The Steam Coast Trail is an ongoing project to build a network of multi-user paths around West Somerset.

Presenting the cheque to Sarah Ellwood and Harry Singer from the charity, Ann said: “The initiative to improve the facilities along the coastline in our area is admirable and appreciated by many. If with this donation we can help the cause and the organisers increase or improve the trail in some way then we are delighted.”

Sarah from the charity said of the donation: “This will help us to complete our ultimate aim to link Minehead to Williton with accessible paths for cyclists, walkers, runners and people with limited mobility.  …Brook Food Processing Equipment has helped us to get a little bit closer to this exciting goal.”
