STORY: BAKO launches multiseed bread concentrate

BAKO has launched a new Multiseed Bread Concentrate to help bakers meet increased consumer demand for healthy products.

Coming as part of the BAKO Select ‘Create’ range, the concentrate comes in a 16kg pack size requiring just the addition of flour, yeast and water and can be made up with either white or brown flour.

BAKO’s Technical Baker Claire Powell said: “The BAKO Multiseed is a 50% concentrate with a superior blend of seeds and cereals for making healthy and great tasting bread or rolls. Our unique formulation of blended malt flours ensures an excellent crumb colour and great taste with no added sugar.

“The combination of whole sunflower seeds, brown linseeds and pumpkin seeds is complimented with milled flax seeds for improved absorption of nutrients into the body. The concentrate is suitable for short-time processes or as Sponge & Dough for artisan products. It will also take further inclusions such as dried fruits and nuts to create enhanced ‘point of difference’ breads.”
